Elevate your M-Chassis performance with this high-end damping upgrade from Tamiya’s TRF line. Designed for serious racers and tuning enthusiasts alike, this damper set delivers refined control, improved grip and enhanced durability for your M-series touring car.

By replacing the stock dampers with the 42355 Big Bore set, you gain the benefits of a larger cylinder diameter (0.5 mm wider than standard), allowing for roughly 10 % more oil capacity — which translates to smoother damping, better absorption of track irregularities, and more stable ride behaviour.


The shorter overall damper length (approximately 4 mm less than standard) is tailored for short-damper setups, enabling lower centre of gravity and improved handling on tight or high-grip circuits.

  • Four-piece damper set, including cylinders, titanium-coated piston shafts and high-performance silicone O-rings for reduced friction and long life.

Installation & Setup Tips:

  • Ensure you use the correct damper stays for short damper setups if required (e.g., on the M-07 chassis). 

  • Choose damper oil viscosity in line with your track conditions — the big bore allows more oil, so tuning oil grade and preload will significantly influence performance.

  • Monitor ride height and camber after installation because the geometry may differ from stock dampers due to the changed length and stiffness.

  • Use the included red and yellow springs as your baseline; then experiment with alternative springs to match your driving style or track grip.
